The IHMnet Implementation has been prepared within the scope of the European Union – Council of Europe Joint Project on Strengthening the Capacity of Bar Associations and Lawyers on European Human Rights Standards.
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the effective implementation of European human rights (HR) standards in Turkey.
The specific objective is to strengthen the capacity of bar associations and lawyers in Turkey to implement these standards.
The project supports the strengthening of the institutional capacity of the Human Rights Centers (HRC) of the Bar Associations and increasing the coordination between them as well as with the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB).
The main purpose of the TBB Human Rights Center is to carry out professional, theoretical and practical research and work in terms of securing fundamental rights and freedoms, making the rule of law prevail, recognizing, protecting, implementing and developing human rights on the axis of national and supranational law in the field of human rights.

These studies are necessary for qualitative monitoring of the development of the human rights situation in Turkey and will provide a basis for other lawyers to develop their work in practice.
The IHMnet application is designed to support the realization of these goals in an interactive way.
This application allows bar associations, TBB human rights centers and lawyers within the centers to communicate in a private environment.
